Touch The Sky - Of Dirt And Grace (Live From The Land) - Hillsong UNITED

The recording of "Touch The Sky" was a unique and memorable experience for our band. With only one hour left before Mt. Arbel park closed, we quickly set up our equipment and recorded the track high on the mountain, amidst the wind.

Days later, while visiting Masada, we were struck by the realization that the lowest point on Earth, at -424m, was in the area around the Dead Sea. Inspired by this paradox, Joel suggested that we film the first verse of the song from this location, using just a guitar, an iPad, and two microphones connected to a field recorder.
We hope that the visuals and the dichotomy of the locations featured in the video are an inspiration of the upside down Kingdom described by Jesus in Matthew 5.

I’ll never forget this song. I was in a very depressing season in my life when I got alone, turned out all of the lights, knelt down, played this song, and truly repented of my shortcomings. The power of God filled that room and Jesus turned my condemnation into conviction as He Spoke, “Get up and sin no more” (John 8:11) ... I want to encourage someone with 2 things:
-Jesus is Stronger than any addiction, opposition, or discouragement you face
-Jesus WANTS to communicate with you. You can “Hit The Sky” by kneeling, pouring out your heart, and calling the Name of Jesus. There is power in His Name!!

i never thought worship music could spark a fire in me, make me cry, or want so badly to succeed and push through every sucky thing in my life right now. Never thought worship music could make me feel strong. But here we are.

Yesterday I understood the significance and the meaning of being Born Again. We are a new creation in Most High - the only I am . Born again in God - no longer part of humanity, part of sin, or part of our past. We are brand new. Devil has no hold over us and he can not even test us; all the sinners placed in our life is done by God to testify about him, glorify his Holy Name and do his will. Devil can steal things of this world, but we are not of this world, our possessions and wealth is in God's kingdom and no one can steal what belongs to God- we belong to him.

I'm so grateful that people with such talent musically, and vocally have dedicated their talents to praising the Lord 🌈❤️🙏

I USED TO HAVE SUPER BAD ANXIETY. It was horrible. I had it for about 4 years. I would overthink things all the time, I was scared to raise my hand in class to answer a question because I was scared to be judged, I couldn't even talk to a girl one on one because I was so anxious! I wanted to be in theatre because I liked acting but I didn't want people to judge me in a bad way for getting into theatre and being some "weird theatre kid". I never went to church, I had never prayed or read the Bible before. Then one day in 2018, my friend invited me to a Bible study at our high school. I thought about it and decided to go and check it out. And on October 9, 2018, my LIFE was changed forever. I remember leaving the classroom so happy and excited to come back the next week. So I started to go to the Bible study every week and begin to learn about God. The true and living God of the Bible. I started to pray and read the Bible and see if God was truly real, and then over the summer I went to this huge church conference and on the last night, the preacher said "if anyone's going through anything, I want you to come to the front and ask God to heal you" and I went to the front and I got down on my knees and I actually cried out to God for the first time and I said, "God, if you can actually heal me, please help me!”, and right after I said that, I heard the clear voice of God for the first time in my entire life and one of the only times I heard Him so clearly, and He spoke to me saying, "I've healed you from your anxiety right now, and it's not going to come back." And right after that happened the preacher said "If anyone got healed, I want you to come up onto the stage and tell everyone" and instantly I went up onto the stage and told about 900 people that Jesus had healed my anxiety! And ever since that day, my anxiety hasn’t come back, and I know it’s not going to. And He can do the same for you, no matter what you’re going through or struggling with, Jesus has authority over it and can heal you!
Now here’s the thing: Me and you have sinned and broken every single one of the 10 commandments. We are not good people. And if you are not born again, you are on your way to facing the wrath of God and eternal torment! And I used to be in that place too! If you are not for Jesus, you are against Him which makes you an enemy to God. And there is nothing that you can do to earn forgiveness. Does that concern you? Well here’s the good news: God loved you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth, and Jesus lived a perfect life, He never sinned once, and then He died on the cross for you. He sacrificed His life for you, offering you the gift of salvation. And the Bible says in Romans 10:9 that "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved." So you have to believe that He died on the cross and rose again to save you from your sins and place your faith in the finished work of the cross. Now we are not saved by works, but you should begin to read the Bible daily and pray frequently. Im Catholic, i remember when im desperately searching myself and totally down there's a friend who invited me to attend to their church she's a Christian, i don't know what to do i just listened to the Pastor and sang a song with them that's when i realized i feel relieved, i cried a lot singing, I feel comfortable, i feel God's love that time.
Many years passes by i rarely go to Catholic church i just prayed silently whenever i feel it.
Here i am again when i hear TANYA sings all of these powerfull hillsong, i found myself longing for Him. I burst in tears whenever i heard all these song. I feel Him again with the help of these Christian songs.

I have sat on that very same spot on Mt. Arbel and had a worship session with a small group of folks when we visited there. We had a guy with a battery powered keyboard (Alex) and another with a guitar (Russel). People stopped an joined us. It was amazing. Miss you Alex; I know you're with God doing the same thing.
